An interview with blogger Paige Terch of FABULOUS
About a month ago I had the privilege of sitting down and talking to one of my friends, Paige a classmate of mine as well as a blogger and YouTuber! Paige has been blogging for quite a long time and her blog lives up to the name, it ranges from fashion and beauty ideas to life advice. Paige also shares her awesomeness on YouTube, where she does everything from shopping hauls to makeup tutorials. We decided to do a collaboration and you should check her blog out as soon as possible!
P.S: just imagine this whole time we are drinking mocha frappes in a quirky NYC coffee shop...
Q:What made you become a blogger?
P: I think really it was a long time coming, when I was younger I really wanted to be a journalist and I loved writing. I had recently gotten into YouTube, I watched a lot of fashion and makeup videos from people like Bethany Mota and Ingrid Nelson. I really wanted to make videos like them, but my parents weren't really comfortable with me making videos, so I decided to channel those ideas into written form on my blog. Now I also have a YouTube channel which sadly I haven't been very active on, because my computer blew up!
Q: Where do you get inspiration from for your blog ideas?
P: A lot on online research, I like to go websites like teenvogue.com and seventeen.com to see what's going on in the world. I also really enjoy looking on Pinterest (me too Paige) for ideas as well as Instagram. YouTube is also a great place to get ideas, my blog isn't just a fashion blog and I want it to be a place for anything I want to share with my readers. It's a place to find cool stories, fashion trends, makeup looks and tips, gifs, and whatever else I find I want to share with my readers.
Q: Favorite YouTuber?
P: I'm a really big fan of Adelaine Morin, She is hilarious and I love her style! Not to mention, I really connect with her quirky personality and she is always herself. I love her.
Q: Favorite Store?
P: I really love Kohls and Forever 21, but there is no Forever 21 in this small town!
Q: What inspired the name for your blog?
P: I don't really know to be honest, well when High School Musical came out, " I Want Fabulous" was pretty much my anthem. It really encompassed everything I wanted my blog to be, fabulous! It catches your attention.
Q: Any blog favorites other than yours?
P: I used to read Zoella's blog a lot, of course I like yours also!*insert wink face* I'm subscribed to multiple, but I never get to reading them.
Q: What does the word fabulous mean to you and how can we be "fabulous"?
P: To be fabulous, you must be yourself! You are the most fabulous version of you, when you are embracing the true you and "working it"!
Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
P: This is a very valid question, but it is one at this point I can't say for sure. I'm just going to try to follow whatever God has for me, I would love to pursue something in music, journalism, and fashion all rolled into one though if that's possible.
Q: What is your personal style and how would you describe it?
P: It really fluctuates, I love bohemian, eclectic, classy, and trendy styles. It's really a mix of a lot of different components! I like to mix it up, recently I went to Epcot in Disney and found this really amazing piece from "China". I am hoping to incorporate it in a post very soon as it starts to warm up outside!
Q:What do you see for the future of your blog?
P: Well right now I've almost hit 6,000 paige (haha get it) views, ( high five Paige) which I am super excited about. When you get your first 1,000 it's exhilarating and I am hoping when I move, * I start to tear up* I will be able to put more time into it and really make it something special. I want to create a place where girls can come and just have fun. I recently reached six continents and that feels amazing, hopefully it continues to grow and I can make higher quality content. I want to increase reader to blogger interaction through Q&A and giveaways, so come check it out!
