This is what people would call, minimalism and can be also be connected to street style in NYC or Paris. and it has become a huge trend in these past months. Minimalism isn't even a style, it is defined as a way of living and an attitude. It's a fundamental reaction against visual noise, etc. and is basically described as simplicity and less extravagance. Even though I love color and I have to admit, some bling, I really like this idea of simple elegance. As Coco Chanel said, "Simplicity is the keynote of all elegance." Of course, street style is inspired by almost everything, but a lot of street style looks I have been seeing contain a lot of minimalist elements.  Here is my take on the trend, I mixed elements of both!
Denim distressed jacket: American Eagle Espadrilles: J.crew Watch: Citizen  Tortoise Sunglasses: Target

Polka dot button down: Joe Fresh Jean ripped shorts: ??

T-shirt dress: Banana Republic

Fur vest: Gap Boat neck striped shirt: Target

Perforated sleeve shirt: Marshalls

 Loafers: Gap or Old Navy?

So as you can see, this trend is also inspired by a "city chic" style and is influced by darker colors and basic clothing items.  Dark plum lipstick colors and nudes are most common with minimalist looks,  also very natural makeup like, eyeshadow in neutral shades.  A lot of models and women wearing these looks also have really bold brows as well. I really am interested in this style and really want to include more simple clothes in my wardrobe. I find that a lot of my clothes have lots of prints and sometimes I don't have anything to pair them with. Of course you can add color accordingly to your own liking, I added some pastels in my pictures or army green, even though a lot of minimalist looks only have black and white.  I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for the awesome view count! Thank you, Amelia.
