The May 2015 J.Crew style guide/ June 2015 issue of Marie Claire
Magazines and print are probably where most of my inspiration comes from and have been for years. I remember getting magazines in the mail as a young girl and marveling at all the beautiful clothes and ads. I honestly like just buying magazines for the ads, because I just find them so inspiring in their photography and all the clothes and models. Making collages out of all the pictures is one my favorite rainy day activities. All the ads and photography inspires me to take better pictures and be more creative with my blog. Some of my favorite magazines are Marie Claire, Harper's Bazzaar, The New York Times Style Magazine, Teen and regular Vogue, Seventeen, and J.Crew style guides.
Just a handful of my many magazines, mostly cut up. You can also see my inspiration cork board in the back.
3. Travel and Random Adventures
This picture was snapped by my dad on the bus into NYC.
Everytime I visit somewhere new, even if it's only down the road, it always inspires me. Everytime I visit New York City, I always immediately want to change myself and create someone new. I feel NYC has that affect on people everyday and it always makes you want to reinvent your attitude and your perception. Even when I visit somewhere close by that's new, I love how it affects me. If I visit a new cute downtown area, I immediately want to take pictures of the cute stores and cafes. I really wish I could travel somewhere new all the time. I am so excited for my trip to NYC this August and I can't wait to share it with you.

4.Pinterest and Tumblr
One of my many pins added to my Photography/ Inspiration board
originally pinned by: atlantic-pacific.blogspot.com
As you may know, I am a huge Pinterest-aholic and I find so many pictures of all kinds on there and I have so many boards... it's really an obsession. I can find on both websites anything from street style to inspirational quotes to pictures of NYC. Both sites have really influenced how I change up my outfits and have exposed me to so many different styles. Yesterday I bought a pair of those crazy print pants that are drawstring, because I saw different people style them on Pinterest in really cool ways. I never would have stepped out my comfort zone, if I hadn't been introduced to them.

6. Film and Tv

Of course, I also get inspiration for my blog from movies and tv shows, most importantly from their costumes, wardrobe, and overall look. I also like the filmography of movies and how they are shot. Old movies really inspire me and I love to see how style has changed. Some movies and tv shows that are my favorite are Breakfast at Tiffany's ,Clueless, Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and Gossip Girl.

6. Style Icons, other bloggers, Youtube
a postcard I purchased at the Kennedy Center of one of my inspirations, Jackie Kennedy.
One of my last sources of inspiration is from Style Icons and inspirations of the past and present. I always have loved Jackie Kennedy and the Kennedy family as well as many people, like Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Conrad, Leighton Meester and her character on Gossip Girl, Blake Lively, and Kate Middleton. I also love getting inspiration from Youtubers like, Sarahbelle93x, GlamourKate08, Lauren and Emery, Zoella, and so many more. I also love to follow blogs, like The College Prepster and Classy Girls Wear Pearls. Not to mention Carly from thecollegeprepster.com, also asked one of my questions I sent in on Tumblr. *has a heart attack*

7. Art and Photography
Ben Giles
Even though I can't draw to save my life, I love looking and art and pinning it. My dad has a minor in art and even though I have no talent in making it, I love to discover all kinds of art. My dad always got me to draw as a kid and I really think it influenced me today (even though I can't draw still).I also have taken up a new hobby in taking photographs and I discovered I really like it. Most of these photos on my blog are from me and I hope they get better and better as I progress. I think it is really amazing to capture some of life's moments with a camera.
